RESCUE BOATS
For many years Naiad has been the vessel of choice for most
of the Coast Guard in New Zealand - with 42 Naiad’s in use by
the various units right around the coast. Increasingly, the
Australian Coastguard, Volunteer Marine Rescue and Coastal
Patrol organisations in Australia are seeing the benefits of
operating Naiad RIBs. From the 4.8m Rescue Jet, right up to the multiple cabin
14.6m “Lion Rescue” there’s a Naiad for virtually all rescue
requirements, including:
| Trailer Boats | On-Marina Vessels |
| ·4.8m Rescue Jet | ·9.0m wide-body Hardtop |
| ·6.8m Open or Hardtop | ·10.5m Cabin |
| ·7.3m Hardtop | ·11.3m Diesel Jet |
| ·8.5m Open or Hardtop | ·12.6m Cabin |
| ·9.0m Hardtop | ·14.6m “Lion Rescue” |
Key features important to volunteer organizations include
ease of operation, crew safety, comfort, reliability in extreme
conditions and safe predictable handling. Rescue boats are
often out in the worst weather conditions, so it’s important the vessels are rugged and crews must have absolute faith in their vessel to get them quickly and safely to
the scene of an incident – and home again!
NAIAD's search and rescue boats are available in sizes ranging from 4.8 meters to 14.6 meters
